Where does the campground data come from?
From the Recreation Information Database (RIDB), the official public data source behind
Recreation.gov. Each campground page shows when its data was last updated.
Do I need to sign up or create an account?
No. Everything on this site is free to browse without an account.
A campground page looks wrong or out of date — what do I do?
Let us know on the Contact page. Also always double-check details on the official
Recreation.gov page before finalizing a trip — fees, closures, and availability can change.
Why do some campgrounds have so little information (no photos, no amenities)?
Some campgrounds — especially primitive or dispersed sites — simply don’t have much data on file with
the managing agency in RIDB. Missing information means “not entered,” not necessarily “not available.”
Does this site cover Canada?
Not yet — the site currently covers U.S. campgrounds only.
